What are Bonus Issues?
Bonus Issues are free issues that you add to a customer’s subscription. They can be used to extend a customer subscription in repayment for lost issues, or as a reward in a promotion (7 issues for the price of 6).
Anytime you want to extend a subscription the Bonus button adds 1 issue to an existing subscription and does NOT charge for it.
Where do I add a Bonus Issue?
Remember anything having to do with billing MUST be done from the Donor’s Customer Data Entry screen – that is where the “Paid For” portal is located.
Right on the Customer Data Entry window (in the “Paid For” portal) for each customer. In that portal which shows the subscriptions there is the word Bonus at the far right end of the Subscription line. Click on it and an additional issue will be added to the current subscription.
What does the procedure actually do?
It checks to be sure that the subscription is current and active. You cannot add a bonus issue to a subscription that is expired. It then checks everything over, and automatically updates the number of issues remaining, and add another publication period to the existing subscription.
